Social Studies
The Board of Regents, at the April 29, 2014 meeting, adopted theÌýСÖíÊÓƵ State K-12 Social Studies FrameworkÌýas the foundation for Social Studies in СÖíÊÓƵ State.Ìý The СÖíÊÓƵ State K-12 Social Studies Framework was revised in 2016 and 2017 and is now fully implemented in grades K-12.
The Framework based U.S. History Regents Exam will be the only U.S. History Regents Exam offered from this point forward.Ìý The U.S. Framework Based Regents exam will be administered on June 1, 2023.Ìý The Framework based Global History Regents exam was implemented in 2019.
СÖíÊÓƵ State has five specific content areas for standards:
- History of the United States and СÖíÊÓƵ
- World History
- Geography
- Economics
- Civics, Citizenship, and Government
